Mr. Greens Produce in Austin, TX is seeking a Sales Representative to expand our B2B client base in the produce sector. You will call on restaurants, hotels, caterers, and retailers, presenting products and pricing, and submitting orders.

Responsibilities include planning daily routes, managing deliveries, handling customer questions, collecting payments, and contributing to reports and territory analyses. You’ll work with credit and transport teams to ensure timely service.

• 2+ years of outside B2B sales in food produce.
• Excellent negotiation and time-management skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Mr. Greens Produce is hiring a Sales Representative for Ausstin, TX!Job Summary:Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets.Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.Focus sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of dealers.Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses.Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.Submits activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.Stay up to date on trends by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques etc.Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the management team.Attend and participate in sales and district meetings.Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (out-of-stock items, special order items, low inventory, etc.).Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits and pick-up requests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports.Other duties may be assigned.Competencies:To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies:Results-oriented.Conceptual thinkingBuilding trustCustomer OrientedAdaptabilityCommunicationPersuasive/People ReaderRequirements2 years of outside business-to-business sales experience in the Food Produce Industry.High school diploma required;Exceptional communication, negotiation, and time management skillsAbility to read, write, and speak English.Basic pc skills, proficiency in Excel, experience with MS Outlook.Must pass pre-employment Background and Drug screen testing.Must live in St Petersburg area.Must be at least 21 years old.Physical Demand/Work Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
