Job summary

Drive N-Motion in Thornton, CO is seeking a full-time Sales Consultant to join our car dealership team. You will guide customers through the car-buying journey, tailor options to their needs, and close sales with confidence.

The role offers an uncapped pay plan with a salary range of $90,000 to $140,000+ per year, plus benefits like 401(k) with match, health coverage, PTO, and a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with customers and providing an exceptional experience.
• Sales experience in inside, outside or retail settings is a plus.
• Steady work history and commitment to starting a new career.
• Outgoing personality with strong relationship-building (people person).
• Basic computer, email and internet proficiency.
• Ability to ask for the sale and close.
• 1 year of new or used car sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through the car-buying journey to find the right vehicle.
• Discuss pre-owned vehicle and finance options with customers.
• Test drive vehicles and complete quotes with financing options.
• Follow up with leads via email, voicemail or text.
• Assist online shoppers by setting and confirming appointments.
• Develop referral leads by checking in with existing customers.

As a Sales Consultant with an uncapped pay plan, you can expect to earn a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $140,000+/year, depending on number of sales. The typical schedule is Monday through Saturday with a day off during the week and Sunday.

All that you need is:

• 1 year or more of sales experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license
• Ability to speak fluently in both Spanish and English (strongly preferred but not required)

Car industry knowledge is helpful but not required. Are you a pleasant and professional communicator? Can you be social and energetic in conversations? If so, we want you at our car dealership!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate must have a strong desire to succeed. Our automotive sales consultants come from a variety of backgrounds and industries. You don't have to have automotive sales experience to be successful but you should have experience providing exceptional customer service and previous sales experience is a plus.

• Prior experience working with customers and providing an exceptional experience
• Sales, including inside sales, outside sales, or retail sales is a plus
• Steady work history and the commitment to starting a new career
• Outgoing personality with the ability to develop relationships easily ( \"people person\")
• Basic computer, email and internet proficiency
• Excellent appearance, verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Must possess the ability to ask for the sale and follow through
• Saturdays and some evening hours
• Valid U.S. Driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
• 1 year's worth of new or used car sales experience strongly preferred

• Sales Consultants commit to becoming automotive sales experts and gain a wide knowledge of multiple vehicle makes, models and brands.
• Sales Consultants test drive a wide variety of awesome vehicles
• Complete quotes and present & explain financing options for used vehicles, while developing and honing top-notch negotiation skills
• Follow up with prospective customers and return email / voicemail / text messages
• Assist online shoppers by setting and confirming appointments
• Follow up with existing customers to confirm their satisfaction and generate referral leads
