Working from home, this role involves presenting at-need cemetery and pre-need arrangement services and products to consumers. Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets. Develop relationships within the community to generate qualified leads as a self-starter. Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns to qualify and schedule sales appointments. Maintain professional relationships with client families and provide excellent service.

Job Responsibilities

Revenue Generation

  • Attain or exceed monthly sales revenue quota by presenting Dignity Memorial Personal Planning Guide and influencing consumer decisions on pre-planning.
  • Guide prospective families through cemetery grounds or mausoleums, listen to needs, ask questions, discuss options, and provide solutions to meet their needs. Promote service excellence and the SCI Brand.
  • Complete contracts accurately following company procedures, follow up on documents and questions, and walk families through final contracts.
Prospecting

  • Initiate leads within the community, professional networks, civic, business, and organizations. Prospect at least 50% of workday through face-to-face approaches, door knocking, or seminars. Track activity in CRM and work evenings/weekends.
  • Obtain referrals from families served through after-care visits.
  • Schedule sales appointments, prepare marketing materials, and cultural knowledge for appointments.
Build Relationships with Families

  • Establish and maintain professional, service-oriented relationships by listening, communicating honestly, and resolving concerns.
  • Support families during grief with acts of kindness, attend services or receptions.
  • Provide continuous support from at-need services through aftercare and future protections.
Teamwork

  • Collaborate with management and staff to improve service quality and processes.
  • Share family concerns with the team.
Minimum Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
License
  • Funeral Directors License if required by state law.
  • Life Insurance license if required by state law; company supports licensing.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
Experience
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Industry experience and CRM experience are pluses.
Skills and Abilities
  • Computer skills, goal-oriented, public speaking, teamwork, independent work, evening/weekend availability, bilingual is a plus.

Compensation: $40,000 to $100,000 targeted, with higher earnings potential based on performance.
