This role involves working from home, presenting at-need cemetery and pre-need arrangement services and products to consumers, and achieving monthly sales targets. The position requires developing community relationships to generate qualified leads, following up on marketing-generated leads, and establishing professional relationships with client families to ensure service excellence.
Job Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
• Attain or exceed monthly sales revenue quotas through presentations of Dignity Memorial Personal Planning Guide and influencing consumer decisions.
• Guide prospective families through cemetery grounds or mausoleums, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
• Complete contracts accurately, follow up on documents and family questions, and walk families through final contracts.
Prospecting
• Self-initiate leads within the community, build professional relationships, and prospect at least 50% of workday through face-to-face approaches, door knocking, or seminars.
• Obtain referrals from families served and schedule sales appointments.
Build Relationships with Families
• Establish and maintain professional, service-oriented relationships, support families during grief, and provide ongoing services.
Teamwork
• Collaborate with management and staff to provide high-quality services and improve processes.
• Share family concerns with the team.
Minimum Requirements
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
License
• Funeral Directors License and Life Insurance license where required by law; company supports obtaining licensing.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Experience
• Sales experience preferred; industry experience and CRM familiarity are pluses.
Skills and Abilities
• Computer skills, goal-oriented mindset, public speaking, teamwork, independence, flexibility for evenings/weekends, bilingual is a plus.
