This role involves working from home, presenting at-need cemetery and pre-need arrangement services and products to consumers. The key responsibilities include achieving monthly sales targets, developing community relationships to generate leads, following up on marketing-generated leads, and establishing professional relationships with client families to ensure service excellence.

Job Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
  • Attain or exceed monthly sales revenue quota by presenting Dignity Memorial Personal Planning Guide electronic presentations to inform consumers about cemetery and pre-need services, influencing their decision-making.
  • Guide prospective families through cemetery grounds or mausoleums, listen to their needs, discuss options, and develop solutions to meet their needs, promoting the SCI Brand and service excellence.
  • Complete contracts accurately, follow up on documents and questions, and walk families through the final contract process.
Prospecting
  • Initiate leads within the community, build relationships, and prospect at least 50% of the workday through face-to-face interactions, door knocking, or seminars. Track activity levels in CRM and often work evenings and weekends.
  • Obtain referrals from families through after-care visits.
  • Schedule and prepare for sales appointments based on qualified leads.
Build Relationships with Families
  • Establish and maintain professional, service-oriented relationships, resolve concerns, and meet commitments through honest communication and genuine concern.
  • Support families during times of grief with acts of kindness, attend services, and support ongoing relationships to provide future services.
Teamwork
  • Collaborate with management and staff to provide high-quality services and improve processes.
  • Share family concerns with the team.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
  • Funeral Directors License and Life Insurance license where required by law; company supports obtaining licensing.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Sales experience preferred; industry experience and CRM experience are pluses.
  • Skills in computer use, goal orientation, public speaking, teamwork, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Bilingual skills are a plus.
