What You’ll Do
As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will:
- Assist customers in purchasing or leasing new and used vehicles.
- Build rapport and develop lasting relationships with customers.
- Identify customer needs through effective questioning and active listening.
- Match customers with vehicles that meet their lifestyle, budget, and transportation needs.
- Present and demonstrate vehicle features, technology, performance, and safety systems.
- Conduct vehicle walkarounds and test drives.
- Explain vehicle pricing, trade-in values, warranties, ownership costs, and financing options.
- Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, repeat customers, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within the dealership CRM.
- Prepare and review purchase agreements and required sales documentation.
- Coordinate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to ensure a seamless sales process.
- Deliver sold vehicles and educate customers on vehicle features, maintenance requirements, warranties, and ownership resources.
- Introduce customers to our service department and schedule initial service appointments.
- Follow up after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage referrals and repeat business.
- Participate in training programs, sales meetings, and dealership events.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Automotive sales experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in retail sales, customer service, hospitality, business development, or commission-based sales is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve personal and professional goals.

- Previous automotive sales, retail sales, or customer service experience preferred.
