Job summary

AlphaGraphics Downtown Austin seeks an energetic Sales & Production Assistant to join our Downtown Austin team. This hybrid, entry-level role acts as a bridge between Inside Sales and Large Format / Digital Print Production, with a roughly 50/50 split between sales support and hands-on production.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service, retail, or sales support preferred; a genuine desire to learn the print and sign industry is essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with comfort speaking with clients both over the phone and face-to-face.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and aptitude to quickly learn specialized print estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and steps up wherever needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant college coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming clients and direct inquiries efficiently.
• Intake customer job details, generate accurate project quotes, and process incoming print orders in our estimating system.
• Assist senior inside and outside sales reps with quote preparation, order tracking, customer proof approvals, and client follow-ups.
• Maintain clear, professional communication via email and phone regarding project timelines and job statuses.
• Handle customer order pick-ups and process payments cleanly and accurately.
• Learn to operate high-speed digital presses, wide-format roll printers, and flatbed printing equipment.
• Train and assist in print finishing operations, including trimming, mounting, laminating, binding, grommeting, and vinyl weeding/application.
• Inspect finished jobs for color accuracy, resolution, size specifications, and overall quality prior to customer delivery.
• Assist with shop inventory management, stock organization, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
• Collaborate closely with production leadership to ensure high-priority deadlines are met seamlessly.

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, proactive, and versatile Sales & Production Assistant to join our Downtown Austin team. This dynamic, entry-level hybrid position acts as a crucial bridge between our Inside Sales team and our Large Format / Digital Print Production department. Key Responsibilities

Inside Sales & Customer Support (approx. 50%)

• Client Relations: Greet incoming clients, answer multi‑line phone calls with enthusiasm, and direct inquiries efficiently.

• Hourly Rate: Competitive starting pay ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and skills.
