Job summary

Parkway Family Auto in the Houston area is seeking a Vehicle Lot Attendant to move and clean vehicles, keeping interiors and exteriors in presentable condition and ensuring the lot reflects our brand. You will assist the general manager, reposition cars, and support basic service-lane logistics.

A valid driver’s license is required, and reliable commute to Rosharon, TX is expected. This role supports inventory management and a clean showroom and service area.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicle lot appearance by cleaning interiors and exteriors and replenishing fluids.
• Moves vehicles as directed by the general manager and places stock tags.
• Inspects vehicles for damage and verifies listed accessories.
• Delivers sold vehicles to the preparation department and parks them appropriately.
• Performs routine building maintenance and cleans work and showroom areas.
• Follows OSHA and safety guidelines while using protective gear.

Essential Duties

• Maintains new- and used-vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.


• Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.


• Keeps new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.


• Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing debris as necessary.


• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.


• Makes key tags for vehicles.


• Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against transit sheets.


• Inspects vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice.


• Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt.


• Parks new vehicles in assigned areas.


• Catalogs and stores keys.


• Assigns stock control numbers to cars.


• Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.


• Delivers sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department.


• Services vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish against deterioration.


• Cleans the service and customer areas.


• Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.


• Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines.


• Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces and restocking coffee and related supplies as needed.


• Sets up downstairs conference room for meetings.


• Cleans bathrooms and restocks paper supplies as needed.


• Cleans all showroom vehicles and displays daily.


• Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside as needed.


• Removes all debris from lot.


• Maintains yard equipment and cleaning supplies.


• Runs errands as directed by Inventory Supervisor and Sales Managers.


• Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations.


• Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Rosharon, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift


• Day shift


• Monday to Friday


• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
