OBJECTIVE
The Sales Performance Coach is responsible for developing and delivering training programs that enhance the sales skills, product knowledge, and member experience for new and existing employees.Using a consultative sales approach, this role ensures that staff are equipped to identify member needs, recommend appropriate financial solutions, and drive growth in order to meet organizational sales goals.
WORKING HOURS
- The position is hybrid and involves travel. Responsibilities will be carried out from home, at the corporate Moon office, and weekly visits to various financial centers.
- Monday-Friday 8:30 – 5:00, based on operational needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Education or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years of experience in sales training, coaching, education or transferrable experience required; working within a financial service industry is preferred.
- Advanced understanding of the consultative sales process and principles.
- Demonstrated success in sales coaching to improve sales performance using various coaching techniques.
- Experience applying adult learning principles and their application to sales training, ensuring content resonates with diverse learning styles.
- Advanced presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate sales teams at all levels.
- Experience designing and delivering sales training in various formats, including e-learning, presentations, and workshops.
- Experience developing sales-focused training programs using instructional design methodologies and tools, such as ADDIE, or other instructional design frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, etc.) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support content creation and training delivery.
- Experience in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and the ability to integrate CRM data into sales coaching and training initiatives is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support content creation and training delivery.
- Ability to travel to financial centers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and deliver engaging sales training programs for member-facing employees, including frontline and outbound calling staff
- Develop training materials, including presentations, guides, and e-learning modules, that align with Clearview’s goals and values
- Conduct sales training and ongoing development programs to reinforce sales techniques and product knowledge; this includes emotional intelligence training
- Implement a blended learning approach, including in-person workshops, virtual training events, role-playing exercises, and on-the-job coaching
- Ensure training aligns with Clearview’s sales goals, member service standards, and compliance regulations
- Train team members on Clearview’s products, services, and any updates to ensure employees are well-versed in offerings and can answer member inquiries confidently
- Develop and standardize sales scripts, lead qualification criteria, and member interaction protocols
- Partner with branch managers and department leaders to assess employee sales performance and identify training needs
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to improve sales, as well as member engagement
- Keep the Sales team informed of industry trends, emerging sales techniques, and new tools or technologies, that can aid in member engagement from a learning point of view
- Stay updated on cross-departmental changes that impact the Sales team, incorporating them into training when needed
- Gather feedback from trainees, managers, and leadership to enhance training effectiveness
- Maintain records of training sessions, team progress, and individual performance improvements
- Provide management with regular reports on training effectiveness, identifying successes, challenges, and areas for future development
- Assist in onboarding new hires, providing foundational training and integrating them into the Sales team smoothly
- Help assess prospective hires’ sales aptitude as part of the recruitment process when required and if necessary
