A well-established high-end retail company in Walnut Creek is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its store and ensure everything behind the scenes runs efficiently, professionally, and to a high standard.

About the Role

This is a newly created position with the opportunity to build the role over time, take ownership of key operational functions, and grow with the organization. The Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with employees, vendors, contractors, and other business partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and ensure the facility is running smoothly and efficiently
• Coordinate facility maintenance, janitorial services, repairs, and general building needs
• Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers
• Coordinate schedules and provide operational support to the team
• Assist with HR-related activities, employee coordination, and day-to-day personnel needs
• Oversee inventory processes and maintain accurate inventory records
• Work with POS systems and ensure operational information is accurately maintained
• Utilize Excel and other computer systems to track information, prepare reports, and support business operations
• Identify operational issues and take initiative to resolve them quickly and effectively
• Help establish and improve processes as the position develops
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Serve as a key operational partner to the General Manager

Qualifications

• Previous operations, retail operations, facilities, or related management experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and computer-based systems
• Experience working with a POS system
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable coordinating vendors, contractors, and service providers
• Ability to respond to occasional operational emergencies outside of the regular schedule

Pay range and compensation package
