Sofitel New York is looking for a self-motivated, up and coming hospitality professional to join our dynamic sales and marketing team as a Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will support the Director of Sales and Marketing and Marketing Manager with all aspects related to the marketing process by being on property. This not a remote or hybrid position.
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager. Working as the primary liaison between the hotel and our group partners and planners, you will communicate professionally and respond via phone and emails in timely manner. Preparing VIP amenities, managing booking links, reservation changes and ensuring on time payment are key aspects of this position, along with greeting clients on site and ensuring overall success of their experience, along with the Sales Manager, is paramount. This position may also include supporting the Director of Sales and Marketing with general office administration, light marketing projects, vendor management, and preparation of purchase orders, corporate office requests and community partner communication, along with light support of the business travel team.
Ensure all printed and digital materials, guest communications, and property signage adhere strictly to brand guidelines and visual standards.
Candidate must possess a minimum of one year of hotel experience, with luxury hotel background preferred in primary market. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel required and additional experience in Delphi, Opera and Cvent preferred. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, demonstrates an outgoing, spirited personality with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a desire to meet and exceed expectations. Candidate must be organized and demonstrate team player attitude in assisting with additional projects or requests as needed.
Some schedule flexibility will be requested at high demand times, however this is a Monday – Friday position.
Front desk experience preferred.
Second language desirable.
