Description

The Sales-Marketing Associate is responsible for the recruitment and retention of all Neighborhood product lines. The key to success in this position is to have strong community relationships as well as to ensure that members and prospective members are educated on benefits and enrollment processes. The Associate will be responsible for sharing data with the Marketing department and/or other internal departments and external partners.

The Sales-Marketing Associate will significantly impact the growth of new members through the use of data collections, community and provider outreach, and member satisfaction information. This person must have significant community involvement and contacts to recruit new members. Ensure adherence to CMS guidelines in all sales activities. The person will impact growth through community relationships, educational and sales presentations, and application assistance.

This position requires a Rhode Island Broker License to support licensing requirements for our insurance lines. Handling Medicaid and Duals member calls requires adherence to scripts and procedures. The Associate directly influences membership growth by providing high-quality service with professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Sell, market, and promote products across all lines by delivering presentations to community groups, agencies, churches, schools, and at events. Make outbound calls, arrange appointments, and manage outreach efforts.
  • Be the first community contact, requiring professionalism and plan knowledge.
  • Report daily activities to the Supervisor and communicate issues encountered in the community.
  • Seek new outreach opportunities and coordinate at community events, fairs, and provider offices.
  • Present plan information to potential members and assist them in choosing suitable products.
  • Assist with Medicare and Medicaid application processes and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Document activities accurately in Salesforce and maintain community contacts.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community facilities, organizations, and regulatory agencies.
  • Gather data, prepare reports, and analyze marketing activities.
  • Respond to public inquiries, distribute promotional materials, and present information to various audiences.
  • Conduct market research to identify target populations and media channels.
  • Maintain records, adhere to marketing guidelines, and develop outreach strategies, especially for communities of color.
  • Collaborate with sales and member services to follow up on leads and resolve issues.
  • Assist with inbound/outbound calls, comply with standards, and participate in training.
  • Follow all compliance policies, including CMS guidelines and company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and uphold corporate compliance standards.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Rhode Island Broker License for health insurance (within 6 months of hire)
  • Proven success in health insurance sales
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of marketing and community resources
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Skills in data gathering, reporting, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Preferred:

  • Bilingual abilities
  • Knowledge of Rhode Island Medicaid and CMS regulations
  • Possession of Rhode Island Broker License
  • Experience with Salesforce
