What will you do?

We are seeking a results-oriented Transit Sales Manager to join our sales team. This position can be based from your home office and requires regular travel throughout the US. In this role, you have a unique opportunity to drive new business and cultivate relationships with potential clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within the transit and fare collection sectors. Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client base and achieve sales targets;
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in transit agencies and related organizations. Provide exceptional service and support to existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention;
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Create and execute sales strategies that align with company goals. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the value and benefits of our fare collection solutions;
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research (collaborating with the marketing team) to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Utilize this information to identify new opportunities and refine sales approaches;
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and successful execution of client projects and initiatives;
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity. Provide regular updates to management on progress towards sales goals and key account developments.
  • Excellent presentation, and negotiation skills building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders;
  • Strong understanding of fare collection systems, transit operations, and related technologies. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices;
  • Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other sales tools;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for team players that possess the perfect balance of experience, education or training, skill and competency in the following areas:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Business, Marketing, or Communications;
  • 3 -5+ years of proven sales experience in the transit, fare collection, or related industries;
  • Demonstrated success in securing new business and managing key government accounts;
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, to meet with clients, visit offices, and attend industry events;
  • Willingness to work outside of traditional business hours to accommodate business needs; and
  • Possess and maintain an unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
