Job description

This Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing an established portfolio of customers across medical, industrial, and other technical applications, while gradually taking on greater ownership of key accounts and new business development. The ideal candidate brings B2B sales experience within a manufacturing environment and is comfortable selling technical, application-based solutions to OEMs and stakeholders.

Our client is a long-established U.S. manufacturer specializing in precision-engineered products and custom solutions for medical, industrial, and other highly technical applications. With decades of manufacturing expertise, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and the ability to support customers from initial product development and prototyping through high-volume production.

The organization has a stable, longstanding customer base and a track record of consistent year-over-year growth, while continuing to invest in new products, applications, and commercial capabilities. With domestic manufacturing, a collaborative and highly tenured team, and a strong position within its niche, the company offers the stability of an established manufacturer alongside meaningful opportunities for continued growth and expansion.

Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for growing and managing an established customer portfolio while developing new opportunities across a range of technical, industrial, and medical applications.

  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities to expand business across accounts and applications.
  • Develop new business opportunities by prospecting target customers and uncovering new applications for the company's products.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and product development.
  • Partner with customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend standard or customized solutions based on their specific applications.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams throughout the sales and product-development process.
  • Represent the organization at customer meetings, industry trade shows, and events, while maintaining an active pipeline and supporting long-term commercial growth.
Profile
  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineered products, components, consumables, or another technical sales environment.
  • Demonstrated experience selling into manufacturers and/or OEM customers, with an understanding of longer-term, relationship-driven sales cycles.
  • Comfortable engaging with technical and commercial stakeholders, including engineering, quality, operations, product development, and procurement.
  • Strong account management and business development capabilities, with the ability to grow existing relationships while identifying new customers and applications.
  • Technically curious, coachable, and relationship-oriented, with the desire to learn a specialized product portfolio and grow into increasing commercial responsibility over time.
Job Offer
  • Base salary of $110,000-$140,000
  • Unique opportunity to be mentored by a highly tenured sales leader and gradually take ownership of an established, significant customer portfolio.
  • Long-term career growth with a stable, established U.S. manufacturer and the opportunity to develop into greater commercial responsibility.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and employer-paid life insurance.
  • Paid vacation/PTO, paid sick time, paid holidays, and Employee Assistance Program.
  • Limited travel requirements compared with a traditional territory sales position, with travel primarily centered around customer visits and industry trade shows
