Position Summary:

Seeking a talented and competitive Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, complex sales environment with a high drive to excel. Qualifications include:

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Sell food flavorings, ingredients, and solutions from the ADM Nutrition portfolio to North American customers, focusing on B2B sales to producers of savory and sweet goods, dairy foods, wellness products, and beverages.
  2. Build new business, grow sales with existing customers, and maintain their base year over year.
  3. Collaborate closely with customers on product development, cost effectiveness, and quality improvement initiatives to drive growth.
  4. Work with cross-functional teams in technical, marketing, financial, regulatory, and leadership roles.
  5. Define technical support needed to meet customer demands and execute projects in collaboration with the Creative Design & Development team.
  6. Manage customer pipeline and opportunities using CRM systems like Salesforce.
  7. Coordinate with regulatory and scientific teams to ensure solutions meet claims and product positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and manage new sales opportunities through inbound and outbound efforts, promoting the entire ADM Nutrition portfolio.
  • Develop targeted account plans and execute sales strategies.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through regular contact.
  • Build rapport with cross-functional teams including C&D, Regulatory, Customer Service, Procurement, and Legal.
  • Manage customer samples, opportunities, and projects.
  • Implement proactive call schedules to increase customer engagement.
  • Use web-based tools to improve sales effectiveness and maintain accurate records of quotes, sales, and activities.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of nutrition ingredients.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years of account management experience in the flavor/ingredient industry preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within North America.
