Job summary

Hotel Equities is launching a refreshed hotel in Encinitas, CA. We seek a Sales Manager who will lead new business development, establish partnerships with local businesses, and drive revenue in the corporate, group, and leisure segments.

This role emphasizes relationship-building within the North County community, collaboration with operational teams, and active participation in local market events to position the property as a preferred destination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hotel sales experience preferred.
• Experience in hospitality, tourism, destination marketing, or related sales roles.
• Proven track record of developing new business and achieving revenue goals.
• Strong presentation, communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting, and hotel sales processes.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hotel leadership.
• Knowledge of the San Diego, North County, or Southern California hospitality market preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to reach revenue, occupancy, ADR, and market share goals.
• Prospect and secure new business within corporate, group, SMERF, sports, and leisure segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, venues, and tourism stakeholders.
• Conduct outside sales calls, client meetings, tours, and networking events.
• Represent the hotel within Encinitas and North County business communities.
• Identify partnerships with local surf, wellness, and lifestyle brands.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales presentations with accurate client data.
• Collaborate with revenue management and operations to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity for opportunities.
• Participate in community events, chamber activities, and industry functions.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and maintain excellent customer service.
• Support hotel leadership in achieving business objectives and profitability.
