Job summary

JDM Golf LLC is seeking a Sales Manager – Banquets & Events in Phoenix to grow event bookings, from initial inquiry through execution. You will tour venues, present packages, prepare proposals, and secure signed agreements.

You will collaborate with Banquet Manager and departments to ensure seamless handoff, maintain records, and hit quarterly sales targets while delivering outstanding client service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in event, banquet, hospitality, venue, hotel, restaurant, golf club, or related sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, client relationship management, or event coordination strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a golf club, country club, resort, hotel, or similar hospitality environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new event and banquet business, including weddings, corporate events, golf outings and tournaments, celebrations, and other private events.
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, event and wedding planners, community groups, and other potential referral sources.
  • Maintain relationships with past clients to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Identify opportunities to increase event volume, revenue, and utilization of available event spaces.
  • Lead property tours and present the Adobe’s event spaces, amenities, food and beverage options, golf opportunities, and services.
  • Prepare proposals, packages, pricing, and event agreements.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies designed to meet established event revenue goals.
  • Coordinate transition of confirmed events from sales to operational planning and execution.

We are looking for a motivated and outgoing Sales Manager – Events & Banquets who can showcase everything our 5-Star venue has to offer, develop new business, and turn inquiries into memorable weddings, golf outings, corporate events, celebrations, and special occasions.Job SummaryThe Sales Manager – Banquets & Events is responsible for generating, developing, and securing event and banquet business for the Adobe Bar & Grille. This position focuses on increasing event revenue through proactive sales efforts, responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, developing proposals, and building relationships with prospective and existing clients.The Sales Manager serves as the primary sales contact from initial inquiry through booking and works closely with the Banquet Manager and other departments to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to event planning and execution. The position is expected to actively develop new business rather than rely solely on incoming inquiries.Success in this position is measured by meeting or exceeding quarterly sales goals generating bookings.JDM Golf Teammates will role model the core values and behaviors by:Cultivating a positive teamwork environment.Being efficient with time at work.Communicating effectively with management, co-workers, and guests.Being flexible.Maintaining integrity in all conversations and actions.Consistently reporting to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.Following internal procedures and external regulations; and reporting issues to management.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee’s position.Sales & Business DevelopmentProactively identify and pursue new event and banquet business, including weddings, corporate events, golf outings and tournaments, celebrations, holiday parties, meetings, and other private events.Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, event and wedding planners, community groups, and other potential referral sources.Maintain relationships with past clients to encourage repeat and referral business.Identify opportunities to increase event volume, revenue, and utilization of available event spaces.Participate in networking, community, and promotional activities that support event sales.Develop and execute sales strategies designed to meet established event revenue goals.While the peak event season typically runs from October through April/May, the Director is expected to proactively seek opportunities to increase bookings and revenue during the off-season months.Leads, Tours & BookingsRespond promptly and professionally to event inquiries and sales leads.Qualify prospective clients to understand event needs, dates, budget, attendance, and expectations.Conduct property tours and present the Adobe’s event spaces, amenities, food and beverage options, golf opportunities, and services.Prepare proposals, packages, pricing, and event agreements.Conduct consistent and timely follow-up with prospective clients to convert inquiries into confirmed business.Obtain signed agreements, deposits, and other required information in accordance with procedures.Maintain accurate records of leads, tentative bookings, confirmed events, lost business, and follow-up activity.Client RelationshipsServe as the sales contact for clients and potential clients.Build positive client relationships by providing responsive, professional, and personalized service.Clearly communicate pricing, packages, policies, deadlines, and expectations.Identify opportunities to enhance the event experience and increase revenue through appropriate upgrades and additional services.Maintain communication with clients during the sales and booking process to ensure expectations are clearly understood.Event Turnover & Internal CoordinationProvide complete, accurate, and timely event information to the Banquet Manager and other appropriate departments.Coordinate the transition of confirmed events from sales to operational planning and execution.Participate in event meetings as appropriate to communicate client expectations, special requests, and significant event details.Communicate changes that may impact staffing, food and beverage, room setup, golf operations, or other departments.Work collaboratively with the Banquet Manager while maintaining clear accountability between sales and event operations.Sales Goals & ReportingWork toward established event sales, booking, and revenue goals.Maintain an organized and active sales pipeline.Track lead sources and conversion of inquiries to confirmed events.Monitor future bookings and identify periods where additional sales efforts are needed.Provide management with regular reports regarding sales activity, leads, conversions, booked revenue, future business, and lost opportunities.Review event results and client feedback to identify opportunities for repeat business and continued improvement,Other:Actively participates in meetings and training session.Drafts and formats memos, emails, and reports in accordance with Company guidelines and protocols.Performs all other related duties, as assigned.
