Job summary

Adobe Clubhouse at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is seeking friendly servers to deliver exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. You will greet patrons, describe menu options, describe ingredients, and ensure accurate order entry at the POS.

Banquet support is available and on-site service is required. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of server experience; banquet experience is a plus, with training provided as needed.

We want our members and guests to receive an unforgettable dining experience. In addition to our Restaurant and Market, we will be hosting a variety of banquets and events in creating memorable experiences.Job SummaryThe Server’s purpose is to serve food and beverages and to provide a positive dining experience for guests and members by ensuring they feel welcome, comfortable, and important. The goal is to provide a memorable dining experience for each guest’s overall satisfaction and enhances the reputation of the Adobe Clubhouse food outlets.JDM Golf Teammates will role model the core values and behaviors by:Cultivating a positive work environment.Being efficient with time at work.Communicating effectively with management, co-workers, and guests.Being flexible.Maintaining integrity in all conversations and actions.Consistently reporting to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.Following internal procedures and external regulations; and reporting issues to management.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee’s position.Customer Service:Greet guests / members in a warm and friendly manner.Answer questions about the menu.Make recommendations based on customer preferences.Menu Knowledge:Describe dishes accurately including ingredients and preparation methods.Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen is running out of any item.Answer questions on dietary restrictions or special requests.Order Taking:Take orders accurately by writing down the order and then entering the order into the POS at the serverSuggest additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue.Timing and Coordination:Coordination with kitchen staff is important in timing of orders.Ensure food and beverage is served promptly and at an appropriate flow.Table Maintenance:Monitor tables, ensure guests and members have everything they need (e.g., water refills, utensils, etc.).Clear empty dishes, as neededPrepares tables, lays out napkins and utensils, making sure condiments are refilled, and performing all other preparation tasks.Handle payment process accurately and timely.Other:May be scheduled to work at banquet events.Participates in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.Performs side work, as assigned.Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.Follow good personal hygiene guidelines.Performs other duties, as assigned.Education and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Two to three years related server experience and/or training preferredExperience working at banquet events helpful but willing to provide trainingSkills and AbilitiesPossess strong interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service – should be friendly, approachable, and attentive.Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Strong teamwork and collaboration: Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, bussers, and other restaurant staff.Strong communication skills including effective listening.Highly organized to manage multiple tables.Flexible and adaptable to changes in workflow, menu items, staff, etc.Ability to remain calm during peak hours or challenging guests or members.Comfortable in upselling.Demonstrated working knowledge of food handling regulations.Computer SkillsRequired:Ability to use Point of Sale (POS) SystemAbility to use employee self-service on company’s human resources/payroll databaseCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsRequired: Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver’s license.Unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications.
