Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for driving profitable growth of Sugar Bowl Bakery’s business across retail accounts. This individual will play a key role in executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • The Sales Manager will work cross-functionally and partner closely with Sales leadership to ensure alignment on key initiatives and performance goals.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail buyers and partners.
  • Execute customer programs and sales initiatives aligned with company goals.
  • Support the creation and implementation of channel- and account-specific promotional strategies.
  • Manage daily sales operations including forecasting, order tracking, and resolving service issues.
  • Deliver timely reporting and insights on sales performance, market trends, and customer activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Demand Planning, Finance) to ensure cohesive execution of plans.
  • Monitor customer account performance, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
  • Participate in monthly business reviews, offering data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with Sales Finance and Demand Planning to deliver accurate forecasts and assess risk/opportunity.
  • Assist in developing and executing pricing and promotional strategies that align with both company and customer objectives.
  • Proactively address account challenges and prioritize tasks to meet business deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer-specific requirements, retail processes, and competitive dynamics.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and development of sales tools and resources.

Position Location: This will be a remote role, with a preference for candidates based in the Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of CPG sales experience, ideally with exposure to Costco and multi-channel retail environments.
  • Proven track record in managing retail customer relationships and delivering results.
  • Proficient in leveraging syndicated data (e.g., Circana) to develop business plans and inform strategies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams (Marketing, Demand Planning, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and uncover business opportunities.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Travel

Up to 50% travel will be expected for this position.
