Courtyard San Diego Mission Valley/Hotel Circle in San Diego, CA is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive hotel revenue through strategic client engagement and market development.

You will partner with Operations to meet and exceed sales goals, requiring strong relationship building, prospecting, and a solid understanding of the city market. Marriott experience is a plus and catering background helps.

Qualifications

• Experience: minimum 2 years as Hotel Sales Manager; Marriott brand preferred; catering experience preferred.
• Education: a four-year college degree is desired.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Hospitality CRM systems (STS, Delphi etc.).

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Actively promote and represent the hotel's services to potential clients and customers, ensuring understanding of their needs.
• Revenue Generation: Through proactive prospecting and retention, develop plans to meet and exceed revenue targets within designated market segments.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
• Organization Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, including timely follow-up on tentative business and development of new opportunities.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a competitive environment and manage interpersonal conflicts professionally.

The salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
