Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Global IP Network (GIN) Account Executive team in Seattle and surrounding North America. You will drive new logo acquisition and monthly recurring revenue while coordinating with IP Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to propel revenue growth.

The role requires 2–4 years of team management, 5–7 years in sales with telecom/IP experience, and 2–5 years of telecom/IP domain knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a Sales Team with direct and indirect collaboration to target customers needing high-capacity IP Transit and GIN Value Added Services.
  • Coordinate sales activities with internal Business Unit teams and external NTT Affiliates on deals.
  • Provide regular updates on team sales activities, including weekly/monthly reporting to leadership.
  • Track progress and analyze sales opportunities and report findings to Senior Management.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing to leverage tools/resources to drive sales success.
  • Flexible to work outside standard hours, including US West Coast time zone.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Salesforce.com.
  • Travel up to 25% or more as needed.

This position will join the Global IP Network (GIN) team at NTT. Your day at NTT DATA

In this role the associate will be responsible to lead and manage a team of GIN Account Executives based in Seattle, WA.The Sales Manager, Account Executive Team will be directly responsible for leading their team to generate new monthly recurring revenue (MRR), through the acquisition of new logos in the entirety of North America. The Sales Manager, Account Executive Team will be expected to work with other members of the Sales Management Team as well as across other departments such as GIN Finance, Product Management, IP Engineering, IP Operations/NOC, and Customer Engineering to help with or lead specific projects pertaining to GIN revenue generation within the Sales Channel.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a Sales Team with direct and indirect collaboration with a target market focus of prospective customers with a need for high-capacity IP Transit and the portfolio on GIN Value Added Services.
  • Manage collaborative sales activities with internal Business Unit sales organizations, as well as with external NTT Affiliates on required deals.
  • As a part of the GIN Sales Management Team, the Sales Manager, Account Executive Team will be providing regular updates regarding assigned team sales activities in addition to weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Track progress and analyze trends of ongoing sales opportunities for their team, and responsible for reporting on this activity to Senior Management.
  • Work with Product Development and Marketing teams to leverage necessary tools and resources to promote the success of the Sales Team.
  • Required flexibility to work outside of standard 9am-6pm US West Coast time zone hours.
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office, Internet, and Salesforce.com applications.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (or more depending on the needs of the business).
  • Enforces performance standards and addresses problems/issues in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for ensuring staff participates and successfully completes all companywide mandates/training in a timely manner.
  • Complies with all Ethics and professional standards.
  • Complies with all corporate and organizational security policies and guidelines.
Education/Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred.
Work Experience Required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years managing a team of new logo acquisition and/or business development professionals.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of sales and/or business development experience, including experience in developing complex multi-component business solutions.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience specifically within the Telecom and/or IP industries.
Skills and Core Competencies
  • Preferred to have previously managed a national or regional team of sales executives.
  • Must have a working knowledge of IP Transit, industry standard agreements associated with the product set, and the network implications surrounding these types of Agreements.
  • Excellent communication abilities in both verbal and written genres. Well-honed teamwork skills including the ability to work with executive level prospects and customers.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering effective sales process and tactical training.
  • Proven ability to analyze a customer need and develop and recommend alternative solutions to meet that need.
  • High technical aptitude with ability to accurately articulate the underlying technologies and applications of the Internet.
Working Conditions:

Working conditions will be hybrid – a blend of remote working and on-site (3x/wk) to the Redmond, WA, USA office.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $115,000 - $164,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
