  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, forecasts, and opportunity status within Salesforce CRM.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and ownership in progressing opportunities and resolving client issues to drive outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Operations, IT, Pricing, etc.) to ensure alignment and remove barriers to success.
  • Participate in strategic projects and other duties as assigned to support team and company goals.

Qualifications:

We recognize not all applicants have every skill or qualification to match a job description exactly. Odyssey values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets most required qualifications to apply. Desired:

  • 5+ Years of proven success selling Managed Transportation / 4PL solutions to large enterprise accounts.
  • 5+ Years of experience in multi-modal transportation, including Truckload (TL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Partial Truckload, Tank Truck, and Expedited services.
  • 5+ Years experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for planning, execution, optimization, and performance tracking of multi-modal shipments; ability to leverage technology to drive operational and cost efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cross-selling complex logistics solutions within large, matrixed industrial organizations.
  • Strong “Hunter” mentality with a consistent record of exceeding sales targets in solution-based selling environments.
  • Adept at developing innovative, client-specific logistics strategies that solve operational challenges and drive efficiency.
  • Deep understanding of the sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Skilled in preparing financial models and ROI-based proposals that align with client objectives and internal margin targets.
  • Experience leading or collaborating on complex contract negotiations, including coordination with legal and procurement stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust and credibility with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to identify challenges, assess opportunities, and develop strategic solutions.
