What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding defined sales targets for the Midwest territory
- Develop and implement a sales plan and growth strategy for sustainable success within the region
- Schedule travel to support customer visits and field events, representing the employer as the expert in thermography and IR data imagery
- Prospect for new sales opportunities and manage the opportunity pipeline in CRM for continuous progress
- Identify and develop relationships with key contacts in Commercial, University, and Defense-related research sites
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years in technical field sales, preferably in data acquisition, test & measurement, or technology space
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science with business/marketing aptitude or Bachelor’s in Business with experience in technical field sales
- Demonstrated record of managing a territory and responding quickly to business needs
- Ability to identify influencers, budget, timeline, and competition to navigate customers to final orders
- Strong oral and written communication skills to provide high-level customer service and build relationships
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in remote sensing, data acquisition, and/or test and measurement
- History of influencing customers and marshaling internal resources to efficiently capture and process purchase orders
- Self-motivated and driven to identify, qualify, and pursue new customers and markets
- Track record of leading customer-facing engagements to generate new demand
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM tools
