Job Title: Sales Manager - Market Intelligence Reports (Remote, U.S.)

Location: Remote (U.S. Based)
Compensation: Base salary of $110,000-$130,000 + uncapped commission (OTE ~$200K)
Preferred Location: East Coast or Central U.S. (West Coast candidates not preferred due to time zone alignment)

About the Role

A well-established research and advisory firm serving the global financial information industry is seeking an experienced and proactive Sales Manager to drive growth and client engagement. This fully remote role is a critical backfill and part of a broader commercial expansion to meet rising demand for premium market intelligence.

The firm produces authoritative research reports and strategic insights used by top-tier institutions across financial data, exchanges, indices, and media intelligence. These products are recognized as industry benchmarks and provide clients with actionable guidance for market positioning, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.

This position is ideal for a self-starter with a background in selling insight-driven products or services and a solid understanding of the financial information ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing accounts.
  • Sell research subscriptions and bespoke reports to senior decision-makers at financial institutions, advisory firms, and data providers.
  • Work closely with leadership to refine messaging, target markets, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Serve as a commercial anchor as the sales team expands, helping to mentor and onboard junior team members in the future.
  • Coordinate across time zones with international team members, requiring flexibility for occasional late-afternoon or early-evening calls.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, particularly in insights, research, consulting, or information services.
  • Proven ability to close high-value deals in a consultative, relationship-based sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of the capital markets landscape and the financial information value chain.
  • Experience selling subscription-based or insight-driven products preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Additional Details

  • On-target earnings (OTE) are expected to reach approximately $200,000, with some flexibility based on experience and location.
  • The hiring process will move quickly, typically including no more than two to three rounds of interviews with leadership.
