- Proactively prospect and secure SMERF group business, targeting military reunions, educational organizations, and religious groups.
- Focus on extended stay base business, identifying corporate clients, relocation accounts, and long-term project teams in need of multi-week lodging.
- Conduct sales calls, in-person meetings, and site visits to build relationships and showcase hotel offerings.
- Respond to inquiries and RFPs in a timely manner, ensuring competitive pricing and value-driven proposals.
- Actively update and maintain the hotel Commercial Strategy Quarterly Plan collectively with marketing, digital, and revenue partners.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Strategy:
- Proactively prospect and secure SMERF group business, targeting military reunions, educational organizations, and religious groups.
- Focus on extended stay base business, identifying corporate clients, relocation accounts, and long-term project teams in need of multi-week lodging.
- Conduct sales calls, in-person meetings, and site visits to build relationships and showcase hotel offerings.
- Respond to inquiries and RFPs in a timely manner, ensuring competitive pricing and value-driven proposals.
- Update and maintain the hotel Commercial Strategy Quarterly Plan with marketing, digital, and revenue teams.
Market Expertise & Targeting Key Accounts
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of extended stay accounts, including healthcare, construction, corporate relocations, and SMERF groups.
- Partner with local businesses and economic organizations to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management for pricing, forecasting, and strategy.
Client Relationship Management & Coordination
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts for repeat business.
- Work with hotel operations to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Partner with marketing to create targeted promotional materials.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and track revenue opportunities.
- Meet or exceed sales activity goals.
- Provide regular reports on sales and market trends.
- Utilize digital tools (e.g., CRM, PMS, LinkedIn) for sales management.
- Engage in ongoing industry training and team collaboration.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hospitality or related sales experience.
- Understanding of extended stay business models and client needs.
- Experience with SMERF groups preferred.
- Relationship-driven and proactive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales tools.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
