FUCHS Lubricants Co. in Harvey, IL is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the North-Central sales group, drive account development, and close new business opportunities. You will report to the Director of Sales – Industrial Division and shape regional strategy.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of B2B selling experience in industrial consumables, a leadership track record, and strong collaboration across departments. Travel about 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business required.
• At least 10 years of B2B sales experience in industrial consumables; Lubricants/Chemicals preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in opening new business opportunities.
• Strong direct selling concepts, product and industry knowledge.
• Ability to foster cross-functional collaboration across departments.
• Ability to travel overnight when needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $155,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales – Industrial Division and will be responsible for providing leadership to the sales group in the North -Central region. Carrying out development of sales representatives with specific focus on account management; developing new business and sales closing techniques; supporting the Director of Sales with input on strategic account management and divisional customer analysis; divisional P&L responsibilities are some of the main aspects of this role.

Supervisory Responsibility

• The position will have 4 direct reports with possible additional reports as dictated by the needs of the business.

Travel

• Approximately 50% within the territory, depending upon residence location

Qualifications we are looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business required.
• At least 10 years of B2B sales experience in industrial consumable products required. Experience in the Lubricants or Chemical industries preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years‘ experience in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in opening new business
• Solid understanding of direct selling concepts along with product and industry knowledge
• Ability foster collaborative relationship across inter-company departments and divisions
• Ability to travel overnight when needed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
