Job summary

Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is seeking a Sales Manager to inspire and lead our sales team. This full-time, non-exempt hourly role offers a continuous hourly base plus a percentage of store sales and uncapped personal commissions.

You will lead store sales growth, own customer resolutions, act as MOD, and partner with management on metrics, merchandising, inventory, and training. Qualifications include retail leadership, strong communication, and flexibility to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• Management experience in sales, retail, or customer service.
• Proven track record in commission- and performance-based environments.
• Excellent communication and professional sales presentation.
• Able to read product and transaction information.
• Willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check.
• Able to stand/walk most of the day and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales growth and profitability of the store through your team and personal sales.

• Provide exceptional customer care for furniture range and services.
• Partner with Store Manager to set metrics and expectations for sales, visuals, operations, safety, loss prevention, inventory, payroll, and training.
• Collaborate with Store Manager, Visual and Warehouse Manager to plan weekly merchandising, deliveries, and logistics.

Job Type: Full time - Non-Exempt/Hourly

Post Training Rate: Continuous hourly base, PLUS percentage of Store Sales, PLUS uncappedpersonal commissions!

• Under the direction of the Store Manager, lead the sales growth and profitability of your store through the results of your team and your personal sales.
• Own the customer resolution process for customers and the sales team always focused on timely solutions.
• Act as the MOD (Manager on Duty) in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide exceptional customer care in a manner that models a positive attitude and enthusiasm for our furniture assortment and services.
• Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate all critical metrics and expectations within the store including but not limited to sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, inventory management, payroll/scheduling, and training.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager, Visual and Warehouse Manager to plan and support the weekly merchandising efforts, customer delivery and pick-up processes, warehouse, and bookkeeping processes.

Who You Are

• Management experience in the following areas:
  • Sales
  • Retail
  • Customer services
• Experienced in commission and performance-based sales environments.
• Demonstrated success in sales, teambuilding, and excellence in customer service.
• Have experience and/or passion for interior design.
• Excellent communication skills and professional sales presentation.
• Able to read product and transaction information.
• Availability to work a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to successfully complete the pre-employment background check.
• Able to stand and walk most of the day.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.
