Job summary

New-Indy Packaging is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead business development efforts, expand market share, and drive profitable revenue growth within the corrugated packaging industry. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in manufacturing, industrial products, packaging, paper, or corrugated products.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales leadership or team management experience.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Establish sales goals, territory strategies, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, account planning sessions, and sales coaching meetings.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new corrugated packaging opportunities within assigned markets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and increase plant utilization.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers across manufacturing, food and beverage, produce, consumer goods, e-commerce, and industrial markets.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and annual business reviews.
  • Partner with plant operations, estimating, scheduling, and customer service teams to ensure customer expectations are met.

Job description

New-Indy Packaging is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead business development efforts, expand market share, and drive profitable revenue growth within the corrugated packaging industry. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, leading a team of sales professionals, and collaborating with operations, customer service, and manufacturing teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in corrugated packaging sales, containerboard products, or industrial manufacturing sales and has a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets while developing long-term customer partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Establish sales goals, territory strategies, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, account planning sessions, and sales coaching meetings.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new corrugated packaging opportunities within assigned markets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and increase plant utilization.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers across manufacturing, food and beverage, produce, consumer goods, e-commerce, and industrial markets.
  • Conduct customer presentations, plant tours, and product demonstrations.

Account Management

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key accounts to maximize retention and profitability.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand packaging requirements and recommend value-added solutions.
  • Resolve customer concerns while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and annual business reviews.
  • Partner with plant operations, estimating, scheduling, and customer service teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, competitive activity, and profitability metrics.
  • Manage pricing strategies to support revenue growth and margin objectives.
  • Support forecasting efforts and provide accurate sales projections.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in manufacturing, industrial products, packaging, paper, or corrugated products.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales leadership or team management experience.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within assigned territory.

Preferred

  • Corrugated packaging industry experience.
  • Containerboard, paper, folding carton, or packaging solutions sales experience.
  • Existing relationships within Southern California manufacturing markets.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar sales portfolios.
