Job summary

Petland, Inc. (USA) is seeking a Sales Manager to develop Pet Counselors and align sales teams with the company's mission of pairing the right pet with the right customer. You will supervise store staff, interview and train counselors, and monitor performance to ensure outstanding customer experiences.

You will motivate teams, maximize sales metrics, and collaborate with the General Manager to analyze history and plan continual improvements in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Sales and POS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop Petland’s Pet Counselors and ensure sales professionals embrace Petland’s mission.
• Directly supervise store associates related to sales and sales processes.
• Interview, hire, and train Pet Counselors; plan, assign, and review performance.
• Educate, motivate and develop Pet Counselors to deliver great customer experiences.
• Maintain a strong store presence, guide counselors during customer interactions, and provide feedback.
• Help counselors maximize customer counts, average ticket sales and dollars per hour.
• Analyze sales history with the General Manager to drive continual improvement.
