Job summary

Journeys, a teen retail leader with 800+ stores, is seeking a Sales Lead to assist store management, develop associates, and achieve sales goals. You will train and coach the team, manage daily store operations in management’s absence, and ensure a fun, full-service experience for every customer while upholding Journeys' culture.

This role requires night and weekend availability, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; growth opportunities are highlighted by

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn.
• Completion of all training programs leading up to Sales Lead position or equivalent training.
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts.
• Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Age requirements for part-time employment may vary based on state

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices
• Perform all opening and closing duties according to company policy
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations in store management’s absence
• Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices in store management’s absence
• Effectively communicate all store needs to store management
• Complete bank deposits
• Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities promptly
• Complete all required training
• Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers
• Resolve customer issues effectively
• Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team
