Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Sales Floor Lead to assist with daily store operations and sales performance, acting in a supervisory capacity when assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager. The role includes cash register duties, merchandise rotation, training, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience or 90 days in service industry, and the ability to work

• Must have high school diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Must successfully complete Retail training.

Responsabilidades

• To assist with the day-to-day store operation and sales performance to meet or exceed budget while in compliance with company standards, policies and procedures.
• Use the cash register to make total sales, accept payment; authorize voids, returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise.
• To ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• To act as a positive role model for employees and trainees in all aspects of professional performance.
• To stock the sales floor adequately and maintain a clean store image.
• To maintain safe and appropriate conditions in the shopping areas.
• To keep the store clean and hazard free by vacuuming, mopping and dusting, including bathrooms.
• To observe personnel and safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance by Store Floor Associates.
• To be able to perform the job duties of Sales Floor Associates.
• To attend work on the regularly scheduled shifts as assigned by the manager for the week.
• To ensure the floor check is completed daily and monthly safety self-inspections are conducted.
• To ensure all new hires are properly oriented, within the first week of employment, and to document that training occurred.
• To assist the store manager in controlling the expense to revenue ratio monthly and annually.
• To assist in training and mentoring Sales Floor Associates and court-appointed community service workers.
• To assist in supervising, disciplining and recommending discharge of sales associates to the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• To monitor and assist in receiving, pricing and displaying of store merchandise.
• To record and balance cash register receipts, make bank deposits and record store transactions.
• To assist in the preparation of personnel and payroll records in a timely manner.
• To complete accurately other paperwork required in the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Any other job-related duties as requested by management.

• Must establish and maintain effective working relationshipswith,and among,storeand production personnel while motivating them to their best performance.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including nights and weekends, and occasionally, long hours.
• Must be able to use repetitive hand movement when buttoning, sorting,hangingand zipping garments.
• Must be able to engage in prolongedstanding,walkingandinfrequentbending, stooping, and stretching.
• Must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment with occasionalperiodsof high volume.

Requirements:

• HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.

Working Conditions:

Frequentphysicalexertion,frequentmovement,conditionedindoortemperatureswithoccasional exposure to outdoortemperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may includeworking at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
