Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Lead to support daily store operations and drive sales performance within company standards.

The role acts as a supervisor when assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager and may oversee staff during scheduled hours. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and prior service-industry exposure; retail training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior experience in the service industry is preferred.
• Retail training completion is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register: totals, accept payments, authorize voids, returns and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• Act as a positive role model and mentor to employees and trainees.
• Stock the sales floor and maintain a clean, presentable store image.
• Observe personnel and safety policies and ensure compliance.
• Keep the store clean and hazard-free, including bathrooms.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts and complete daily floor checks.
• Assist in training and mentoring staff and volunteers as assigned.

Sales Floor Lead

To assist with the day-to-day store operation and sales performance to meet or exceed budget while in compliance with company standards, policies and procedures. A Sales Floor Lead performsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorSalesFloorManager. Sales Floor Leads may act in a supervisory capacity during scheduled work hours.

EssentialFunctions:

Responsibilities:

• 1. Tousethecashregistertomaketotalsales,acceptpayment;authorizevoids,returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise.
• 2. Toensureproperrotation ofstore merchandise.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessional performance.
• 4. To stock thesales floor adequately. To create a positivepublicimageof Goodwill throughacleanstoreenvironment,attractivedisplaysandpresentable,personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheshopping areas.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• 7. Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyStore Floor Associates.
• 8. To be able to perform the job duties of Sales Floor Associates.
• 9. Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerforthe week.
• 10. Toensurethefloorcheckiscompleteddailyandtoensuremonthlysafetyself- inspections are conducted.
• 11. Toensureallnewhiresareproperlyoriented,usingtheappropriatemanual,within the first week of employment. To document that training occurred.
• 12. Toassistthestoremanagerincontrollingtheexpensetorevenueratiomonthlyand annually.
• 13. Toassistintrainingandmentoringof Sales Floor Associatesandcourt-appointed community service workers, as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• 14. Toassistinsupervising,discipliningandrecommendingdischargeofsalesassociates to the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• 15. Tomonitorandassist inthereceiving,pricingand displayingofstore merchandise.
• 16. Torecordandbalancecashregisterreceipts,makebankdepositsandrecordstore transactions.
• 17. Toassistin thepreparationofpersonneland payrollrecordsin atimely manner.
• 18. Tocompleteaccuratelyotherpaperworkrequiredintheday-to-dayoperationofthe store.
• 19. Anyotherjob-relateddutiesasrequestedby management.

• 1. ToassisttheStoreManagerorProductionManagerinachieving/exceedingproduction goals both monthly and annually and to assist in implementing a contingency plan if goals are not being met.

Requirements:

Working Conditions:
