The Role:

A Sales Executive (SE) is a pivotal in-market sales role at Beam Benefits. You will establish and expand partnerships with brokerages within your territory by building and nurturing lasting relationships. Your goal is to saturate your market with Beam’s presence, working closely with brokerages that match our Ideal Broker Profile.

In some markets, you will also support Beam’s national broker partners and general agency partnerships, ensuring alignment and maximizing Beam’s value across channels.

You will use tactics such as cold calling, email campaigns, web conferencing, and in-person networking to build trust, educate brokers on Beam’s differentiators, and deliver value. You will attend events and networking opportunities to deepen relationships and expand Beam’s presence.

Your success depends on developing a balanced approach—prioritizing high-quality interactions while driving volume through new proposals. Building repeat business and strategic partnerships will be key to your success and Beam’s growth.

Your Impact (What You Will Do):
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives through the full sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, proposing, and closing
  • Develop new markets using high-activity tactics like emails, cold calls, and demos
  • Build strong relationships with brokers and convert them into clients
  • Maintain accurate sales data for process improvement
  • Stay informed on new products and features to support brokers
  • Track and analyze sales activities and metrics
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify trends and progress
  • Use Salesforce to track all sales activities and data
Your Experience:
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably channel sales involving brokers or agencies
  • Experience in insurance, especially in ancillary benefits, is preferred
  • Ability to analyze reports and optimize sales performance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to learn new products and adapt to sales tools
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
  • Requirement to obtain Life & Health license within 60 days
  • Passion for building relationships with broker communities, with in-person engagement
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within your territory
Training and Development:
  • Comprehensive onboarding, ongoing coaching, and resources
  • Develop skills in discovery, multi-threading, and industry-specific communication
  • Gain expertise in internal tools and Salesforce for pipeline management
  • Beam covers the cost for your Life & Health license to establish you as an industry expert

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive base salary plus variable incentives.

Includes bonuses, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with match, flexible time off, and equity options.

The offered salary will consider internal equity, experience, and other factors. The range does not include benefits, bonuses, or incentives.

The first-year total target compensation is $130,000 - $160,000 (base + commission).
