Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all catered functions from organization to execution, including delegation of responsibilities
  • Work closely with sales managers and coordinators to generate new business and maintain contact with current accounts
  • Ensure excellence in guest satisfaction through effective staff training, a “Do Whatever It Takes” attitude, and a hands-on, lead-by-example management style.
  • Identify qualifying business potential, close deals, overcome objections, negotiate, upsell, and understand client needs through Features-Adjectives-Benefits selling
  • Manage bookings successfully and maintain a pipeline of inquiries, prospects, tentative, and definite bookings
  • Collaborate with local key influencers including hotels, convention & visitor bureaus, chambers, retail outlets, office buildings, and condo/apartment complexes
  • Conduct targeted and meaningful client visits to build private dining sales
Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of previous sales experience in an upscale/fine dining restaurant or hotel operation
  • Ability to write business correspondence, set up contracts, and prepare function sheets
  • Ability to professionally present promotional materials and effectively communicate and coordinate with catering, kitchen staff, and outside vendors
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts for guest catering contracts
  • Excellent communication skills, positive and clear speaking voice, attentive listening, and appropriate response capabilities
  • Stable and progressive work history with a strong work ethic

Pay Range

USD $67,000.00 - USD $72,000.00 per year
