Job summary

Pelican, a world‑class provider of protective packaging solutions, seeks a Sales Engineering Manager in Torrance, CA. You will lead customer-focused technical packaging projects from concept through production, partnering with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or sales engineering for packaging or related industrial products.
• Strong knowledge of protective packaging, foam, and reusable transport packaging.
• Ability to manage multiple customer programs with time/budget constraints.
• Proven cross-functional leadership across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Ops.
• Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of custom protective packaging solutions from concept to production.
• Partner with Sales and customers to meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals.
• Act as technical advisor and single point of contact throughout projects.
• Collaborate with engineering/procurement to define requirements and design solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Drive process improvements to enhance manufacturability and quoting efficiency.
• Support technical training, demos, and solution demonstrations for customers and teams.
• Identify trends and opportunities for product and business growth.
