Job summary

Pelican is hiring a Sales Engineering Manager in Torrance, CA. You will lead development of custom protective packaging solutions, partnering with customers and internal teams to solve complex technical challenges and deliver manufacturable packaging that protects valuable equipment.

You’ll serve as the technical lead across multiple programs, coordinating with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical sales, packaging engineering, or related customer-facing role
• Experience developing custom packaging solutions and protective packaging systems
• Strong understanding of manufacturability, cost drivers, and production execution

Responsibilities

• Lead customer projects from concept through production with scope, timelines, and budget oversight
• Serve as technical advisor and main customer contact throughout projects
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement to define requirements
• Design foam cushioning systems, shock isolation, reusable containers, and protective packaging
