Job summary

Powerex, Mount Juliet, TN, is seeking a Sales Engineering Co-op to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer engagement. You will assist with territory management, customer support, product education, and market development while learning consultative, relationship-driven technical sales.

Candidates pursuing a BS/BA and possessing strong communication, organization, and initiative will travel with experienced professionals to customer sites and training

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS/BA degree (Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred).
• Interest in technical or consultative sales and engineering-driven products.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with engineers, contractors, and customers.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM exposure is a plus.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with quotation, submittal, and follow-up activities.
• Learn how to go to market with a distribution network.
• Participate in customer visits, sales calls, and training sessions alongside senior sales staff.
• Assist with product and application training materials and presentations.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and account tracking.
• Maintain and update customer and opportunity data in CRM systems.
