Job summary

Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc., has an immediate opening for a Sales Engineer covering the South Central and Southwest Region. The territory includes OK, TX, NE, KS, ID, UT, NM, SW TX, AZ, NV, CA, and HI.

Tyler Union's main manufacturing facility is in Anniston, AL. The Sales Engineer will support the sales team, visit engineers and utilities, promote domestic materials, attend code meetings, and train new hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; P.E. preferred.
• Ten years of high-profile utility/water/construction experience may substitute for a degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and database usage.
• Knowledge of Water and Wastewater Systems.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to relocate and travel ~3 nights/week.

Responsibilities

• Call on city engineers and specifying officials nationwide.
• Support Territory Managers and develop major national projects.
• Promote domestic materials through specs and training.
• Present programs at engineering meetings and trade associations.
• Maintain CRM records and report sales activities.
• Travel with Territory Managers to gain field knowledge.
• Provide technical training to new sales hires.
• Participate in all sales training programs.
• Plan sales calls at least two weeks in advance.
