Job summary
Ziegler Energy Solutions, a Ziegler company, is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the technical sales and development of commercial, industrial, and utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar PV, and EV DC Fast Charging (DCFC) projects.
Based in Monticello, MN, or Dayton, MN, this role serves as a region's technical sales lead, supporting turnkey project development and equipment-only engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Renewable Energy, or related field preferred; high school diploma accepted.
- 2+ years in technical sales, applications engineering, or project development in solar PV, BESS, EV charging, or DERs.
- Ability to interpret RFPs, specs, drawings, and interconnection documentation.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills for diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical sales for C&I and utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and DCFC projects.
- Engage with customers, consultants, utilities, developers, and EPCs to shape design basis.
- Perform site assessments, energy evaluations, and DER integration reviews.
- Interpret interconnection requirements and engineering drawings; collaborate across teams.
- Support development of integrated energy systems combining solar, storage, and EV charging.
