Job summary

DELO Industrial Adhesives in the Bay Area seeks an experienced sales engineer to search for new sales opportunities, extend the customer base, and design complex adhesive and processing solutions for multiple high tech industries.

You will collaborate with executives and the Engineering teams in the US and Germany, provide startup project development and ongoing customer support, manage projects, set up local sales networks, and travel as needed. Training in Germany and onboarding are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• Minimum 5 years in a technical corporate environment.
• Minimum 2 years in customer support; sales experience is desirable.
• Willingness to travel and work with international teams.

• Design and develop complex adhesive and processing solutions for multiple high tech industries.
• Collaborate with executives and Engineering teams in the US and Germany.

Job description

After extensive training, you will take over the following tasks

• Search for new sales opportunities and extend our customer base by customer acquisition activities
• Design and develop complex technical adhesive and processing solutions in multiple high tech industries
• Collaborate with executives and the Engineering team in the US as well as in Germany
• Provide start up project development and on going customer support
• Internal and external project management and control
• Set up local sales network
• Visit and represent DELO at various trade shows
• You are located in Bay Area (San José)
• Degree in Engineering, i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science, Physical Engineering, or similar technical areas (Bachelor’s required, Master welcome)
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical corporate environment
• A minimum of 2 years of customer support – sales experience is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
• Prior expertise in adhesives is not required as you will get intensive and exciting training in Germany
• Willingness to travel
