Job description

Seeking an energetic, creative, and detail-oriented Sales Engineer to support our sales & marketing efforts in providing high-amperage power solutions for our Data Center customers. Responsibilities include:

  1. Participating in presentations, technical sales, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  2. Providing pre- and post-sales technical support, including design assistance, answering technical questions, and preparing solutions, quotes, and proposals.
  3. Engaging proactively with key customers to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  4. Collaborating closely with the Sales team and customers to promote our products as preferred solutions.
  5. Utilizing available resources to identify opportunities for Hubbell in specifications during all design stages.
  6. Conducting product meetings and presentations, developing rapport with clients, and following through to order closure.
  7. Ensuring client satisfaction and resolving issues to foster repeat business and long-term relationships.
  8. Monitoring market and competitor activities, providing reports to leadership.
  9. Working with Product Managers, Engineering, and Marketing to achieve market penetration goals.
  10. Building and maintaining sales pipelines and forecasts using Salesforce.
  11. Participating in trade shows and industry events.
  12. Providing training and support to the DC sales team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of data center and power topology.
  • Five or more years of related data center technical sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse customer base.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 60%.
