Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Sales Engineer - Department of War (DoW) to align with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development. You will provide tailored solutions, support technical demonstrations, and assist in product development while traveling up to 50% for meetings and events.

This role reports to the Director of Sales Engineering and offers a path for entrepreneurial technologists who enjoy customer interaction and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 2 years in pre- and post-sales support (or HS diploma with 6+ years).
• Proficiency with RF instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including planning, training, and optimization.
• Become an expert on Silvus' radio and networking solutions and advantages over competitors.
• Prepare and conduct product demonstrations for visits and equipment evaluations.
• Visit customer sites to provide technical support and deliver training.
• Troubleshoot field failures and report feedback to development team.
• Assist design engineers in reproducing and troubleshooting problems.
• Support sales and business development activities through hardware maintenance and resource allocation.
• Contribute to future product development.
• Travel up to 50% for meetings, events, and demonstrations.
