Job summary

Blachford Acoustics Group is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the Director of Sales and customers by developing and implementing custom-engineered solutions. You will liaise with Engineering, R&D, and Quality to ensure technical alignment with customer specs, assist in quoting, and help drive new product launches.

You will gather technical requirements, review drawings, and participate in design reviews while applying acoustics and materials knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field preferred).
• Engineering experience beneficial but not required; attitude and aptitude are essential.
• Ability to learn acoustics, materials, and CAD-based engineering practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and update technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/CRM systems preferred.
• Willingness to learn Oracle-based ERP and Globalshop.
• Team-oriented and proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Limited travel required (occasional customer visits with Sales Director).

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Sales in developing customer-specific solutions.
• Interface with customers to gather technical requirements and provide engineered feedback.
• Review, modify, and tolerance engineering prints with internal teams.
• Participate in design reviews, material selection, and feasibility assessments.
• Learn and apply acoustics, materials, and CAD-based engineering practices.
• Coordinate with R&D and Engineering to support new product launches.
• Assist in RFQ and quoting with accurate technical inputs.
• Maintain customer records and technical documentation in ERP/CRM systems.
• Use Oracle ERP and Globalshop for pricing, order entry, and tracking.
• Conduct limited travel with the Director of Sales for key meetings.
• Ensure activities comply with QMS and EMS policies.
