Job summary

Nucor, North America's largest steel and steel products manufacturer, is seeking a Territory Sales Engineer in Nebraska. You will maintain high-quality customer communications, perform joist and deck estimates, and develop strong partnerships with customers and the local engineering community.

You will work with the commercial team on market strategy, travel as needed, and are expected to work beyond 40 hours when required; safety is emphasized in every aspect of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience reading architectural and structural drawings.
• Familiar with project specifications and general construction processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Basic Job Functions:

• Maintain the highest standards of service through professional, informative and responsive communications (written and verbal) with our internal and external customers.
• Perform joist & deck estimates using estimating software program.
• Develop strong partnerships with our customers.
• Work with the commercial team on devising and executing a market strategy for the territory.
• Develop and grow strong relationships with the local Engineering community by attending local events andgatherings.
• Be willing and able to travel.
• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, along with a general understanding of the construction process
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in customer service and sales related roles
• Proficiency with NuBid
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Willing to put in and move for future advancement opportunities
