Gentex Corporation is a global technology company headquartered in Zeeland, Michigan, and an 8-time winner of the Top Workplaces in Michigan. We are looking for a Sales Director II to join our team.

Position Overview

Represent Gentex to global automotive OEM or Tier 1 Management Teams, developing and selling new and existing products, along with multiple new technologies in the automotive space. This role involves developing, maintaining, and expanding high-level relationships to foster future sales and profitable growth. The position is based in West Michigan at a Gentex facility, with international travel required.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and direct business strategies aligned with corporate sales goals in designated product areas.
  • Lead account activities, mentor teams, and develop diverse sales strategies to win new business.
  • Negotiate sales effectively to support sales strategies.
  • Develop understanding of customer organizational structures and interface with management teams to promote new opportunities.
  • Meet regularly with customers and global teams to gather information, promote products, and develop sales strategies.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally and coordinate with stakeholders to provide value-added solutions.
  • Handle Requests for Quotation and prepare customer quotations per internal processes.
  • Build and manage effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Support product development and project realization processes.
  • Prepare sales presentations, expense reports, support customer events, and attend industry trade shows.
  • Communicate effectively with global teams and demonstrate high-level communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
