Sales Director East Coast and Central USA

This position is remote, based in the East Coast and Central USA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute successful sales cycles targeting prospects looking to deploy next-generation cloud solutions.
- Qualify business opportunities thoroughly and drive sales engagements.
- Build a sustainable network including partners, integrators, and analysts to evangelize Lightbits' approach.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of customers interested in partnering with Lightbits to innovate cloud infrastructure for providers and SaaS companies.
- Develop and sustain relationships with prospects and customers, understanding their requirements and relaying feedback to our product, support, and executive teams to help build world-class solutions.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Interest and general knowledge of cloud infrastructure, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS customer experiences.
- 8+ years of field hardware/software sales experience.
- Familiarity with the open source ecosystem and cloud IT landscape.
- Proven success at one organization for at least 3 years.
- Understanding of how IT organizations operate from a cloud datacenter and application perspective.
- Ability to prioritize accounts and opportunities, prospect into new accounts, map organizational structures, and identify new opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a creative approach to business development and account establishment.
- A strong desire to succeed and to see both customers and Lightbits teams succeed.
