Wayflyer in Charlotte is seeking a senior revenue leader to own the Charlotte revenue growth, lead the local BDR and AE teams, and build scalable processes to accelerate expansion.
You will collaborate across underwriting, product, partnerships, finance, and marketing to drive a unified GTM strategy and raise the company profile in the region.
This role emphasizes people leadership, a culture of high performance, and the ability to scale an office from the ground up in a hybrid work setup.
Today’s small businesses need a capital provider that keeps pace with their growth ambitions. Traditional financing options are slow, cumbersome and often out of reach. That’s why we built Wayflyer.
Our technology allows us to assess businesses in minutes, generate financing offers that reflect their growth potential and send funds in as little as 24 hours. To date, we’ve deployed over $6bn to thousands of businesses worldwide, backed by Tier 1 banks like J.P. Morgan.
You’ll be collaborating with ambitious colleagues from around the world. We have offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin and Sydney.
Our Charlotte office is scaling fast, and fast growth without the right structure just creates bigger problems, faster. We need someone to take ownership of revenue across our Account Executive and BDR teams, build scalable processes, and become the senior voice that makes Wayflyer impossible to ignore in the region.
Own the revenue growth strategy for Charlotte and lead the team locally to execute on this
Run performance across our revenue teams, setting a high bar and exceeding it
Analyse revenue and attainment data closely enough to catch underperformance before it becomes a pattern
Build the sales processes and frameworks that will enable our next phase of growth
Help to build and elevate Wayflyer’s profile in the region
Work closely with underwriting, product, partnerships, finance, and marketing, because revenue doesn’t operate in a silo
You’ll have second line management responsibility, and you’ll build a culture where high performance is the norm, not the exception
Set the tone for the Charlotte office as our most senior leader on the ground
Our leaders who’ve built regional revenue engines from the ground up have gone on to take on broader revenue leadership remits, or helped shape our GTM strategy company-wide. Charlotte is early enough that this role will keep growing alongside the office - the ceiling here isn’t fixed.
Someone who wants to build, not maintain. You’ll need to care as much about the people on your team as the numbers on your dashboard, because scaling an office means scaling humans, not just processes. You’re confident making decisions independently and know when to loop in the wider business. If something’s not working, you fix it before anyone asks you to.
We’re less interested in a specific title history and more interested in trajectory: have you taken a revenue function from scrappy to scaled before? Ideally you’ve led across more than one function (BDR, AE, or CS), managed both ICs and other managers, and owned a P&L. Bonus if you’ve scaled an office or region from the ground up, or if you understand eCommerce and revenue-based financing well enough to spot an opportunity before a competitor does.
