Summary / Objectives

The Sales Intern will gain entry‑level knowledge and experience in the RJ Young Solutions and Sales Process. The ideal candidate is a college student prior to graduation who is eager to gain experience in B2B selling. The intern must demonstrate a desire to learn and absorb product, service, prospecting, and sales knowledge while helping Account Executives penetrate their markets. Throughout the internship the intern will have the opportunity to sell, research, prospect, and present to clients alongside Account Executives and Sales Management.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• 50% – Marketing and proactive outreach
• 25% – Client and product research
• 15% – Face‑to‑face selling and presentation with partnered Account Executives
• 10% – Administrative support

The intern will work in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Travel

Minimal, within the local office’s territory.

Required Education and Experience

Applicant must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
