Scratch Financial (“Scratch”) is a Series C financial technology startup based in Los Angeles, California.   • Scratch Pay: Point-of-sale lending, including a BNPL offering and longer-term payment plans
  • Scratch Checkout: Payment processing that is integrated with the veterinary practice management software

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and determined Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and is relentless in pursuing sales opportunities through cold calling and at industry trade shows. What you'll do

  • Perform high-volume outbound sales calls and emails to veterinary clinics, introducing Scratch’s payment solutions, with a consistent pace of 60 to 80 calls per day.
  • Attend multiple industry trade shows annually on behalf of Scratch, actively interacting with potential clients to broaden our market presence.
  • Arrange and manage appointments for the account executive team to streamline in-depth discussions and facilitate closures.
  • Ensure precise and current documentation of sales activities and client engagements within our CRM system.

What we are looking for

  • A track record of achievement, ideally through internships, leadership roles, athletics, academic honors, or other competitive environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you’re comfortable speaking up, asking questions, and making a strong impression.
  • Curiosity and coachability — you’re eager to learn, open to feedback, and quick to apply what you’ve learned.
  • A self-starter mentality with a strong work ethic — you're motivated to hit goals, even when facing setbacks or rejection.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments that require adaptability, resilience, and resourcefulness.
  • Interest in developing a career in sales, especially within FinTech, B2B, or SaaS industries.
  • Experience with tools like HubSpot, Salesloft, or Gong is a plus, but not required.
  • Internship experience in sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not mandatory.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Competitive base salary ranging $70,000 and OTE of $80,000 - $90,000
