WFOGEN is seeking an energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team and drive new business growth. In this role, you'll focus on sales in B2B (with a bit of B2C) contexts, targeting clients in the health & wellness and professional services industries. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere; however, you must be able to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours to collaborate effectively with our team and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential business clients and partnership opportunities in the health & wellness and professional services sectors.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Proactively reach out to prospects via cold calls, emails, and social media messages to generate new sales leads (B2B focus, with occasional B2C outreach as needed).
  • Qualifying Prospects: Engage with potential customers to understand their needs and explain how our startups’ services can help them. Nurture interested leads and qualify them as opportunities.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule discovery calls or product demos for senior sales team members or partnership managers once a lead is qualified.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized pipeline of leads and follow-ups. Keep detailed records of interactions and progress in our CRM/sales tools (no worries if you haven’t used a CRM before – we will train you!).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies, share feedback from the field, and optimize targeting of potential clients.
  • Targets & Reporting: Meet and strive to exceed weekly and monthly targets for outreach and qualified leads. Provide regular updates on your activities and outcomes to the team.
Ideal Candidate (Qualifications)
  • Education & Experience: Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Some experience in sales or customer-facing roles (internships or entry-level jobs in sales, business development, or marketing count!)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You’re comfortable speaking with new people on the phone and crafting effective emails.
  • Energetic & Self-Driven: A go-getter attitude with high energy. You are self-motivated, able to work independently, and excited to take initiative to achieve goals.
  • Cold Outreach Readiness: Fearless when it comes to cold calling and cold emailing. You aren’t discouraged by hearing “no” and can maintain enthusiasm when prospecting.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn about different industries and adapt your approach. An interest or background in health & wellness or professional services is a plus (but not required).
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with basic office software and quick to learn new tools. No specific CRM or sales software experience is required – just bring a willingness to learn, and we’ll teach you the rest.
  • Remote Work Skills: Reliable internet connection and a distraction-free workspace. Strong time-management skills to thrive in a remote work setting. (Must be able to work roughly 9 AM to 5 PM EST.)
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $20,000 – $40,000 per year (depending on experience).
  • Commission: Performance-based commission on top of the base salary. The more deals you help close, the more you earn!
  • Note: This role offers a great entry point into sales with significant upside through commissions. We reward results and will support you to succeed.
